ALHAURÍN DE LA TORRE, MALAGA, SPAIN
This dwelling was conceived as a solar prism, reflecting the optimum proportions and orientation of the façade.
The design of each façade responds to the requirements of each specific orientation and its cross-sectional geometry, including the strategic placement of interior courtyards to favour the exchange of energy between the interior and exterior. In addition to the passive bioclimatic strategy on which it is based, the Ruiz-Zea house incorporates a rain and greywater recycling system for irrigation and a high-efficiency LED lighting system.
